Q: Scott, what does your job at Exchange Solutions as Director of Client Solutions involve?
Scott: I’m responsible for the client services of the Relationship Consolidation solution to an International Financial Services Provider. This includes managing and oversight of all contracted deliverables and ensuring program operations are optimized for the client across 22 countries. Working cross-department and with direct reports, I establish account efficiencies, while developing, maintaining and growing our relationship with the client. I contribute to business development activities inside and outside of the account and participate in the contracting and negotiation process for future and existing clients.
Q: What do you think you bring to the Exchange Solutions family to add value to the team?
Scott: Well after 8 years here at Exchange Solutions I can certainly lay claim to a wealth of skills and experience including the ability to deliver incremental results for clients; understanding how to adapt Marketing technology and software for clients; designing, implementing and operating revenue driving platforms and as a result, the ability to achieve client buy-in. As for my specific ’soft skills’ I’d have to say people management – in my role I’m always collaborating with various teams, all with diverse skills sets, language skills and objectives. The second I’d say is getting things done. Being able to extrapolate the core tasks, identify what are the potential challenges at hand and to execute against them. It bodes well as here at Exchange solutions it’s all about getting the job done.
Q: What challenges you on a daily basis in your role?
Scott: Every day presents a new challenge. Whether it’s related to the client, solution technology, account strategy, personnel, market forces, new business opportunities, each challenge has provided me with an opportunity to push myself and grow my skill set. I’ve always said that the day Exchange Solutions stops helping me put tools in my toolbox, I would leave. I’ve been here 8 years and I don’t see the future growth opportunities slowing. This really is the best part of my day (and my job) … coming to work every day and finding out what I will learn next.
Q: What about the culture at Exchange Solutions, how would you describe that?
Scott: The Exchange Solutions culture can be described in one word: Transformative. Throughout the years, I’ve always been amazed by the exemplary fashion in which Exchange Solution and its culture adapts to change. Whether it’s the addition of new clients, market highs and lows, office changes, new directions on the corporate strategy, the company’s culture remains relevant to the times while ensuring a strong focus on company and employee growth. As for company perks, that just takes two words …Beer fridge!
