We are excited to announce our latest enhancement for the Club Hockey Canada (CHC) member engagement program! Working with Hockey Canada’s partner in adult recreational hockey, Canlan Ice Sports Corp, we have launched a retail point-of-service (POS) capability for the CHC loyalty card.
This feature allows members of Canlan’s Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL) to scan their CHC card at any one of the 11 Thirsty Penguin Grillhouse locations in Canlan rinks, to earn a minimum of 5% of their food and/or drink purchase back in PUCK BUCKS. Players can then redeem those PUCK BUCKS on the ASHL website towards their league fees. Eat delicious grillhouse food, perhaps drink some beer, scan your card, and pay down your ASHL league fees – what could be better than that?
Hailey Clark, Canlan’s National Brand Director, had this to say about the program:
“Our adult rec hockey players here at Canlan Ice Sports are passionate about the game of hockey – they truly love it. But the game can get pricey, which is why we wanted to come up with a program that would help players lower their league fees, ultimately keeping them playing the game they love for longer. We wanted the program to be easy, making our Thirsty Penguin restaurants a perfect fit. Players that come in and enjoy a food or beverage purchase, can scan their Club Hockey Canada card and save on league fees…it’s that simple. Aligning with Club Hockey Canada’s program made a lot of sense for a multitude of reasons, but it was the hard work and talent of our friends at Exchange Solutions that brought it to life. I’m proud of the program we have developed and extremely thankful to the team at Exchange Solutions for their commitment and professionalism.”
We thank Hailey for her commitment to the program and for the role she played in helping to bring this concept to life. To our CHC members who play in the ASHL – we hope to see you eating, drinking, scanning and earning PUCK BUCKS at the Thirsty Penguin Grillhouse this hockey season!
